Trisha Burke, MA, A-LPC/MHSP, NCC

About Trisha

Trisha Burke is an Associate Licensed Professional Counselor (MHSP) who believes deeply in the power of compassion, connection, and hope—especially in the places where life has been most painful. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College and Theological Seminary, where she was honored with the Presidential Leadership and Heart of Grace awards, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from King University.

Trisha’s work has been shaped by walking alongside individuals and families navigating some of life’s hardest seasons. She has extensive experience supporting clients impacted by addiction, involvement with the criminal justice system, and child protective services, including family restoration and preservation work with mothers and infants. These experiences have deepened her respect for resilience and her belief that healing is possible—even when the road has been long and heavy.

She is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), including study with ACT co-founders Steven C. Hayes and Kelli Wilson, and is also a certified Nurturing Parenting Instructor. Trisha works with concerns such as childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, mood disorders, and substance use. Her approach is gentle yet purposeful, blending mindfulness, body-based support, meaningful metaphors, experiential work, and values-centered counseling to help clients reduce shame, reconnect with their inner strengths, and move forward in ways that feel authentic and life-giving.

Inspired by the words of Steven C. Hayes—“We care where we hurt, and we hurt where we care”—Trisha offers a steady, compassionate presence where clients can slow down, feel understood, and make sense of their experiences. Her hope is to walk with you as you turn toward what matters most, taking meaningful steps toward healing, recovery, and a values-guided, deeply meaningful life.
