Hi! I’m Jeston Mason, a resident counselor at Seed of Hope. I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Milligan University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Counseling. I am currently progressing toward my LPC-MHSP licensure.
I believe that therapy is done best when a genuine relationship is in place. Relationships hold the power to heal people, and I see it as my responsibility to provide my clients with a space that fosters a healing relationship. I have experience and enjoy working with both children and adults. I am prepared to work with a variety of concerns such as spirituality, major life changes, unusual bodily experiences, depression, anxiety, and plenty of others. These concerns can each lead to struggles with mental health, which we will tackle together.
I work best from a humanist perspective. As humans, the heavy burdens that we face can often cause us a great deal of dysfunction. I will journey alongside you, human-to-human, as we explore and confront those harsh realities and reconstruct them into something that empowers you. Together, we will set defined, achievable goals and meet them as quickly as possible.
Ultimately, I am a person who loves seeing other people succeed in their own endeavors; and that is my goal as a therapist: to aid in overcoming any barriers that have prevented you from living the life which you most desire. In accordance with Proverbs 27:17, I believe that one person sharpens another like iron sharpens iron, and this is the spiritual underpinning for my work as a counselor.
